February writing update
I set out a few goals for this year, and here's where they stand at the end of month 2 of 2018:
Writing goals: I wrote another 20k of a romance novella but I didn't finish the way I'd planned. It still needs a lot of work. I completed edits 50k of a YA novel and the Dreamers short story and they're both up for preorder!
Reading goals: I did a lot of reading! On Writing was my craft book and really enjoyed it. I started Help! My Facebook Ads Suck! but haven't quite finished it yet. Since I'm not ready to do any ads yet, it was maybe not the best one to do this month. I also read The Five Love Languages, which was fascinating for both personal and writing reasons. I read/finished a few fiction books in February: Serpent's Sacrifice, 13 Little Blue Envelopes, The Bookseller.
Personal goals: I kept going with the yoga challenge even though I did it every other day instead of everyday. I started eating a little better the last week of February as well. I spent a weekend in New York that was very light on the writing/reading, which was a nice break.
I ended the month feeling a little overwhelmed because of my 2 March launches, and how long the novella is taking to finish. I need to look to see if I can shift things later in the year, since I know the third novella may take me longer than I originally planned.
Podcasting/WML goals: Things are right on schedule! All numbers are up from last month, so they should keep growing!
Financial goals: I am at $16 revenue (half from paperbacks) and... much more than that in expenses, so pretty far off the goal. But I set those goals to reach by the end of the year, not the first month.
There we go for the second monthly update of 2018!
